Couples Therapy for Every Season of Your Relationship
Whether you're working through a rough patch or simply want to grow closer, we offer research-based care built for couples, and only couples. Every therapist at CTS is a relationship expert.
What We Help With
Specialized Support for Every Kind of Couple
At CTS, we focus on one thing: couples.
We believe it's better to be experts in one thing than competent in many. This hyper-specialization allows us to provide a full-range of effective support for each and every couple.
We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we study human behavior, we research repair, we learn the best methods for closeness and connection, and we tailor them specifically to your circumstance, so that you can make real, measurable progress.
Our goal is for you to look back, after a year of couples therapy, and to celebrate how far you've come. Our goal is for you not to need us anymore.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How Does Therapist Matching Work?
When you reach out, our team learns a bit about your relationship and matches you with the therapist best suited to your needs and your schedule. Every therapist at Couples Therapy Services is trained in evidence-based methods for couples. You can also get matched in two minutes to get started.
Do You Offer Virtual Sessions?
Yes. We offer secure online therapy for couples anywhere in New Jersey, and we have seen a great deal of success with telehealth. We also meet couples in person at our Princeton and Manalapan offices.
How Long Will We Be in Therapy?
It depends on your relationship and what brought you in, but it usually takes about three months of weekly sessions to see meaningful change, and most couples stay with us for six months to a year. Our goal is to help you work through problems so well together that you no longer need us.
Do Both Partners Need to Attend?
Yes. Couples therapy is structured so both partners are present. If meeting separately is ever helpful, your therapist will let you know. We do not keep secrets in couples work, so anything shared is brought back to the relationship in a constructive way.
Do You Take Insurance?
We are a private-pay practice, which lets us give your relationship our full focus. Many couples use out-of-network benefits, and we are happy to provide the paperwork to help you file. See our Fees and Insurance page for the full details.
Is What We Discuss Confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed in session is confidential, and all online sessions run on a HIPAA-compliant, secure platform.

Not Sure Where to Start?
Get matched in two minutes and we'll point you to the right service and the right therapist, or reach out and we'll help you find your footing together.
